As a practice we have committed to continuous development. A big part of this has been our journey to becoming a Health Care Home.
This is a model of healthcare of the future that has been proven in other practices around New Zealand. We were selected as one of the first practices in Nelson/Marlborough to follow a structured and evidence based path to improve the way we work, making it better for our patients and for our team.
We are continually training and putting processes in place to better handle the urgent needs of our patients and same-day appointments. You will notice a change when you phone in the mornings for a same-day appointment.
Your name and number will be taken by our lovely reception team. They will ask for some brief details in order to direct your enquiry to the right clinician. A triage nurse will phone back and will talk to you to find out what the best plan is for your concerns and arrange an appointment if needed.
Our aim is to better handle your acute calls and needs.
