Getting Paid if You Can’t Work - ACC Entitlements
ACC will pay up to 80% of your income as weekly compensation if you’re unable to work because of an injury they are covering. This means you'll still get paid while you recover.

To be eligible for weekly compensation, you need:

Your medical certificate needs to show you can’t work for more than seven days because of your injury.To be employed
You need to be an employee, self-employed or a shareholder-employee. This must be at the time of the accident and on the first day that your medical certificate shows you can't work.
How to Apply for a Community Services Card
A Community Services Card can help you and your family with the costs of health care. You'll pay less on some health services and prescriptions simply by showing your card.
You can use your card for your dependent children aged under 18 years.
